The YouTube Kids app by Google LLC is designed specifically for Indian children to explore their unique interests and discover new things. This user-friendly app offers easy navigation tools and features that help parents guide their children's online experience. Parents can create individual profiles for their children, using custom content filters to control what they see, based on their age and maturity level. The app has four modes: 'Preschool' for learning and curiosity, 'Younger' for songs and cartoons, 'Older' for popular music and gaming videos, and 'Approved content only' for hand-picked videos and channels. Parents can also rewatch their children's favourite videos and use parental controls to limit what they watch, ensuring a safe and family-friendly experience.

Our blocking process aims to help keep videos on YouTube Kids family-friendly and safe – but each family's preferences are unique. Don't like a video or channel, or see inappropriate content? Flag it for our team to review.

Set a screen-time limit
Encourage your children to take a break in between exploring content. Use the 'Timer' feature to freeze the app when screen time is up so that your children can apply their new skills to the real world.
