Terms of Use
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses APK Mods, whether you only download files or upload them through a developer account. By using the site, you agree to them. Please read them in full; they are short.
1. Using the site
- You may browse and download files for your own personal use.
- You are responsible for what you install on your device and how you use it. Check each file before installing — our guide on MOD APK safety explains how.
- Some apps and games forbid modified versions in their own terms. Using a MOD file may break those terms and can lead to your account with that app being suspended. That risk is yours.
- You must not use the site to break the law, attack other users or try to break into our systems.
2. Accounts
- You must give a real email address and keep your password safe.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- One person or company may hold more than one account only if each has a clear and honest purpose.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
3. Rules for uploaders and developers
When you upload a file, you confirm that:
- You have the right to share it. You own the app, have permission from the owner, or the file is legally redistributable (for example under an open-source licence that allows it).
- The label is honest. Original uploads are the developer’s unchanged build and keep the same signing certificate as earlier versions. Modified files are marked MOD and list what was changed.
- The file has no hidden extras — no added malware, trackers, ad networks or data collection that is not described.
- The file is not a modified banking, UPI, wallet or payment app, and is not designed to steal accounts, money or personal data.
- Your listing text and images do not mislead users and do not break anyone else’s rights.
You keep ownership of what you upload. By uploading, you allow APK Mods to store, copy and offer the file and its listing for download and to show the details we read from it, for as long as it stays published. More about the upload process is on the developer program page.
4. Our right to remove content
We may review, relabel, unpublish or remove any file, listing or account at any time, with or without notice — for example after a report, a failed review, a harmful scan result or a valid request from a rights holder. Rights holders can follow the steps on our DMCA page.
5. No warranty
The site and all files are provided “as is”. We show information read from each file, but we do not check every line of code and we cannot promise that any file is free of errors, safe, legal in your country or suitable for your device. MOD files are made by third parties, not by the original developers.
6. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, APK Mods is not responsible for loss of data, device damage, account bans, lost money or other harm that comes from downloading, installing or using files from the site. If you are unsure about a file, do not install it.
7. Trademarks
App names, icons, screenshots and trademarks belong to their owners. Showing them here does not mean the owner supports or works with APK Mods, unless they publish through their own developer account.
8. Applicable law
Most of our users are in India, and we aim to follow the laws that apply to us and to them, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Copyright Act, 1957. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law in your country gives you and that cannot be removed by agreement.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply. Questions? Visit the contact page or go back to the APK Mods home page.
